Vishniac’s portrait series of Einstein, including the photograph reproduced on the cover of this brochure, was made in Einstein’s office at the Institute for Advanced Study in 1941. Several years later, Einstein signed the brochure for Vishniac along with several other prints from the 1941 sitting.
